I official miss blogging. But, in full honesty, i don't really know what to type. I find that if i blog about something random it wouldn't be relevant. But anyway, at least now i have a good excuse for blogging.

for those who do not understand this line, this actually means long live and praise the Holy Child Jesus. well, everything is in shortcut but that's the general idea. Most of the Filipino population are Roman Catholics and very devout ones at that.In Cebu, we have our little patron Senyor Sto. Nino who we all adore and praise. He has been praised and celebrated during this time of year for centuries already even dating back to the colonization of the Spaniards here in the Philippines. The Child has performed numerous miracles from a single devotee to the whole island of Cebu. We, Cebuanos, are very grateful for His favor and for thanksgiving for graces, we honor Him with songs, worship and of course, dancing hence, the birth of the SINULOG FESTIVAL :)

This is during the procession for the Holy Child. The procession stretches as far as the eye can see. That's not even a quarter of the total of people who were there.

Colorful costumes and hard-thumping beats rule the streets of Cebu when the SINULOG MARDI GRAS officially starts. We do not merely dance but dance for Senyor Santo Nino and dance our worries away and lift everything to the Holy Child :)
