A Little Talk about DRAG

Just this afternoon, I had another chance to have a little talk and demo with a class about Special FX makeup. If you have read my earlier blog about me giving a talk, this one is from the same teacher, Mr. Robert Cabardo. I was closer this time to my audience since we were situated comfortably in a classroom. Which I totally prefer than an auditorium. 

Basically, i gave them a few tidbits and what-nots about special FX makeup. I also showed them pictures of before and after shots and how makeup can do wonders to anyones face. Sir Robert told me earlier he wants one of his students to actually have a make-over. So, i decided to do DRAG since it's part of the special effects family. I asked any willing volunteer from the class and true enough, a brave soul stood up confidently saying he wants to be my subject. He was a doll to work with. very funny but at the same time, he loved being made up on. As i was doing his transformation, i added a few tricks that i know when doing drag. The class was very attentive and even participative. I loved every second of my stay there. 

When i was done with my volunteers makeup, they were just in utter awe. I explained to them that makeup can be very powerful if you know how to use it. They also asked me a few more questions after and i was very much willing to answer all of them.

The fabulous DIVA all the way to the right is the lovely volunteer who was brave enough and with his classmates who are such darlings for giving me these lovely tokens.

I would like to send my warmest thank you's to Sir Robert for trusting m and my skills and for believing in what i can do, for the entire class for making me feel right at home and also for listening to my rants and blabber. It was another beautiful experience i shall treasure all my life.

Today, i decided to do something new with my videos. I asked my beloved cousin to model for my new video. At first she seemed apprehensive but later i convinced her into saying yes. Of course i told her everyone across the whole world will watch it but its no pressure at all really. LOL.

Making the video was a breeze. I had to cut out ALOT of scenes because we were either laughing too much or talking about things which aren't suppose to be heard in public, "girl" talk so to speak. It was a really fun experience and i hope you will find it to your liking as well.

everyone in the house couldn't believe it was her, i couldn't believe it was her!

I added extensions on her hair just to give more VOLUME than length since she already had long hair.

I curled her hair beforehand and kept in rollers until the end of the recording.

That's a little close-up on the eyes. It actually made her eyes pop a little bit more than usual.

and, this is her without them. See, it gives more volume to your hair if you put on extensions but you still look awesome even without it.

Little Talk about Makeup

Last Thursday, i was very honored to have a little chat with my Effective Communication Teachers, Sir Robert, class about makeup. He informed me last last week after our class that he wanted me to educate his class about makeup. It was a nerve-racking and flattering experience all at the same time!

Talking in front of them was not so difficult since we were all from the same school but still, i was nervous yet in a good way.

Here are some pictures that one of my audience captured with my camera. He was so keen on taking pictures. Such a sweetheart. 


anyway, here are some of the pictures!

this was me with my lovely volunteer. I was teaching them how to achieve perfect brows.

I shared to everyone my little tricks when applying makeup. All of them were in complete shock of tricks since they never really knew it was possible. They were all sweethearts :)

Talking while applying makeup is just a nightmare for me. It wasn't very difficult but it did give me a harder time.

I was totally comfortable speaking to all of them since they gave such a positive vibe that i felt really at home :)

Here, they presented me with their lovely token which i did not expect at all.

such wonderful people really.

i received a fee which i did not expect, at all and some really cute school shirts. they gave the perfect sizes for me and i wonder why they knew my size. hmf? i wonder LOL

This experience made me proud to be a Josenian. The training and up-bringing we have is quite different than other schools. The vibe these people give out is more comforting and homey. We still have competitions but its more of a healthy one. Most of the students get along and seem really easy to talk to.

Thank you Sir Robert for believing in my skills and trusting me with this event. To the lovely class who have stayed there for an hour listening to my lecture about what i love to do, thank you so much. And to the people who inspire me to keep moving forward each day, Thank you.

I do hope and pray I'll still be given loads of opportunity to share what i know.

Before and After MAKE-OVER!

hey my lovelies :)

I'm back and ready for more action.

so, a couple of weekends ago, my cousin and her friend had a party to go to and needed help.

i most willingly i agreed because i LOVE make-overs.

it's such a great experience to know that your hard work and labor really paid off not because you get dough afterwards but when you see that glow in their eyes and to find out they we're the stars of the night when all you did was just bring out what they already had.

it brings me so much joy when my client is happy and thrilled with the results.
